Apple cuts out numeric keypad from iMac's keyboard

Engadget is reporting that Apple has removed the numeric keypad on the keyboard that ships with the new iMac. Apple will allow you to "upgrade" your keyboard when ordering a new iMac for free, just make sure you add it to your configuration when ordering. Sometimes you have to wonder, was it really necessary to cut something out when you're going to get a lot more grief for doing so, especially when you add it back as a free "upgrade" option ???
